DID YOU KNOW? The first annual conference of the PAC, held at the Orlando Communal Hall on 9 December 1959, resolved, among others, to (1) recruit its membership to a target of 100 000 in the coming year (1960), and (2) it nominated Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe to lead the Positive Action Campaign against the pass laws and other related exploitative legislation and that Sobukwe should publicly announce the date of the launch of the Positive Action Campaign (PAC).
